Yes, we have two … Yes, we have two Shelties. The other one, Linus, is the larger one at ~35 lbs. This one, Java, is only 17 lbs. Linus is rarely plays with the cat (Webster). Webster and Java are very close. They often sleep together, usually with Java using Webster as a pillow. When Webster was a kitten of about 12 weeks old, he would treat Java has his mother and try to nurse of off him. He still does it on rare occasions.
It got hot at 0:55 … It got hot at 0:55 - they were sharing a moment. I guess its a love-hate relationship. They should just get a room and get it over with. lol
lol that’s so cute. … lol that’s so cute. i like how the cat sort of pounces on the sheltie, and then the sheltie tries to pounce on the cat (puts his arms over the cat’s back lol).
Kee hee. ^^ My … Kee hee. ^^ My old man (that’s what we’ve nicknamed our older male Sheltie) makes those same growls when he’s play fighting, too. ^^ Uber cute.
They used male … They used male Collies to play Lassie because males look “showier” since they have more fur, not better coloring. The male Collies and Shelties look more imposing than the females that way… Also, during shedding, a male’s coat will look decidedly better than a female’s (since they have more fur).
Color-wise male and female look exactly the same; the male’s coloring is *not* better than the female’s.

I like anderseb2007 … I like anderseb2007’s answer…a little more in depth though, the boy’s are generally showier. Their colouring is better, etc (think of the Sheltie’s larger cousins Collies. Asisde from the first dog, Lassie was a male.) Some say the males are easier to train for show, etc.
I have one of each, they’re both goof balls. Reilly (the male) is more handsome, but Cassia (the female) frequently plays bowling with him. She is the ball, he is the pins…she bowls a perfect game every time.
Sergy, I’ve heard … Sergy, I’ve heard that unlike other breeds, there is not much difference in size and personality between males and females, if that is your concern. bjzq8 probably knows alot more than I do about the topic.
Our Sheltie plays with our orange cat. In the end, the cat wins.
