Sheltie puppies 5 hours old
Emma’s new litter of puppies, born 1/20/09 from 8:30 am to 11:50 am. NINE puppies, all squeaking and nursing and looking active and healthy. Momma Emma is doing a fine job of nursing her puppies and is surprisingly bright and alert. The count appears to be:
Five girls: 3 black and white and two sable and white
Four boys: 1 black and white and three sable and white
I haven’t had a close inspection of the puppies yet. When I weigh them I will check to see if the black puppies are tricolor black or bi-black.

a stop is kind of like where the forehead and muzzle meet. collies don’t have one it just kind of connects. Shelties are smaller in size and have a defined stop (you can see it)

Wow, 9 babies! That’s quite a bunch, Emma! She reminds me a lot of my Nutmeg (in looks) and Nut had 7 in her one and only litter. Congratulations!
