Sheltie puppies evening romp
Emma’s nine puppies wrestle and play while the adult shelties look on. Emma (the mom) guards the door and paces back and forth while Figaro watches the puppies from several vantage points around the room. Indy is settled on the floor and looks unruffled by all the goings-on. Sasha is perched hopefully on the love seat with Alan; hoping for a handout from the bag of chips Alan is holding.

Oh yes, they will …
Oh yes, they will get toys! They are changing so much from day to day. Three days ago they didn’t respond to noises in the room, now they are becoming more interested in each other and the things around them. Right now they have two toys: a puppy kong and a toilet paper roll. We put a ball in there…but they shied away from it so we removed it. They spend most of their day sleeping but as they become more mobile and active we will add toys.

We just finished our bath after a wild afternoon of sandbox playing and Sophia the Sheltie and Ian are cuddled up in the big bed for another installment of “Sheltie TV”! Ian is concerned that they don’t have any toys. I told him they had to wait just a little bit before they were awarded toys. Right?
