we have a sheltie, … we have a sheltie, and he is into a routine too. he wore a circular path around our playset and he barks when any of us go out of the front door. he wouldn’t hurt a flea, his bark is worse than his bite. he’s like a little 7 year old teddy bear and he still has a puppy face. at night around 9:30 to 10:00 he always goes into his pen and falls asleep. but if we are making to much noise around him he just groans untill we get the memo, it’s hilarious!
I laughed when you … I laughed when you mentioned the barking. I guess the origins of herding the sheep bring that on? haha. Ours barks at it’s own shadow, make a move and woof woof, the door bell, the mailman, the birds?, we have a wild rabbit in our neighbourhood that pops in now and then to the yard and she goes crazy. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Beautiful, smart, loving and so into routine it a riot. If I’m up past my normal weekday hours going to bed, she comes out and gives a small bark! haha

You’re lucky! Ours … You’re lucky! Ours barks at everything. If I get up from the computer, if someone is walking across the street (even though our sheltie is inside), the doorbell on the TV (even though at first we never had a doorbell) haha.
They’re wonderful and smart dogs, but they tend to bark a lot haha.
Mine has a special … Mine has a special small stuffed ball,because their mouths are small,he couldent pick up a hard ball either,he loves it,he.s actually got 5 of them,cos he keeps losing them in the garden.
mine acted more … mine acted more like a cat than a dog. she’d just walk around and mind her own business except for when my mom would get home from work. i could rile her up, but her head was too small to be able to pick up the tennis ball. she was not playful at all.
